La Commissaire Européenne à l’action humanitaire, Kristalina Georgieva, le répétait encore il y a peu : « l’action humanitaire est malheureusement devenue un des métiers les plus dangereux dans le monde actuel ». Alors même qu’il est voué à réduire les inégalités, le personnel humanitaire court de plus en plus de risques en tentant de maintenir une assistance vitale pour les victimes de conflits et de catastrophes naturelles.
La captivité serait-elle la rançon de l’engagement humanitaire ?
Autour d’anciens otages, de diplomates, de dirigeants d’ONG, la Fondation Casques Rouges vous invite à découvrir les dessous des affaires d’enlèvement des acteurs humanitaires. Participez à un cocktail solidaire après les débats.

Cette rencontre se déroulera le vendredi 9 mars 2012, de 19 à 22 heures, au cinéma Nouveau Latina (20, rue du Temple, 75 004 Paris)
Elle est proposée dans le cadre du Salon du livre humanitaire, Humani’BOOK, que la Fondation Casques Rouges organise annuellement. Pour cette troisième édition, cet événement culturel et solidaire est réaliséen partenariat avec le Festival International du Film des Droits de l’Homme.
Après avoir assisté à la projection d’un film engagé, les visiteurs pourront échanger avec des auteurs humanitaires qui par la publication d'essais, de romans, de bandes dessinées ou encore de livres jeunesse, ont voulu prendre la plume pour tirer la sonnette d’alarme. Le plus souvent militants ou travailleurs humanitaires, ces écrivains auront à cœur de partager leurs expériences avec les visiteurs.
